HEART OF A Healer...

HEART OF A Healer...
By Priyanka Chakrabarti

Megha Dinesh’s journey into the world of wellness and healing began 12 years ago when a job opportunity at the Oberoi Spa came her way. Intriguingly, it was because of her own emotional struggles that she decided to take this journey. “I feel being a healer was the most natural choice fate planned for me.

I come from a split-family background and I have been a victim of sexual abuse since I was five years old. I grew up being insecure, confused, scared and underconfident. I started working and living independently since I was 18. I was on the journey to become an engineer but destiny had its way and today I am a professional healer, which has only helped me recondition myself and understand my soul better,” says the 30-year-old.

Born in Jaipur, she now lives in New Delhi and works as an alternative healing therapist. Today, she is extending her knowledge of healing to the world through her brand Vejovis named after the Roman God of Healing. “I train people in various kinds of therapies. I am primarily involved in the internal approaches of healing where the physical body is considered only a medium. Unlike the usual spa treatments, these help in venting out emotions.

People who visit us often undergo emotional outbursts and drastic mood swinsgs,” she avers. She specialises in hypnosis and past-life regression, Reiki, dream analysis and many other therapies. She also practices Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Craniosacral Therapy. “EFT, a tapping technique created by Gary Craig, is a juxtaposition of thought processes being tapped and breaking patterns. It is all about infusing positive affirmations which assist the body in healing, and changing the magnetic field of the body.
Craniosacral Therapy is based on cerebral fluids and works on issues related to the head and spine,” she explains of the two techniques. Megha believes she is able to heal people by guiding their souls through a journey of transformation and by helping them reconnect with the part of themselves that they have forgotten. She balances her therapies depending upon the client’s issues and background. According to her, being an alternative healing therapist has made her a much more positive person. “Now I attract the right kind of people in my life,” she says with a sparkling smile.
