MD's Note November 2012

After the success of Atelier, India's first high-end luxury and fashion magazine, I'm happy to announce the launch of Creative Nest Media's second publication, Atelier Diva, a monthly magazine that is specifically targeted at working Indian women. The magazine will address the issues that professional, urban women face in different aspects of their lives – be it at work, home or in their different relationships. The aim is to empower, entertain and educate.

Being a working mother handling various roles in my life, I felt that there was a gap in the market for sensitive, intelligent resources for women like myself. It is not enough to create awareness – many of us also need practical solutions to our life's problems and a space we can feel comfortable in. A space without pretensions or a need toconform to a cultural or social ideal. Each of us is unique, with our own special talents and needs. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to real women. There is no one scale that can be used to measure success – the sense of achievement one woman achieves in the boardroom can be another's with a sleight of hand in the kitchen.
Diva will attempt to cover all the varied aspects of a working woman's life in India, keeping in mind her unique historial, social and geographical reality. From profiles of women who have made it to the top of the corporate ladder, to inspiring personal testimonies; from ideas for your home to tips for putting together a sumptuous meal; from fashion and beauty, to health and nutrition; from relationships to spirituality, we hope to address all your interests and needs.

In this new journey, your feedback is as important as ever to us. I look forward to receiving your letters and emails, and I wish you all a brilliant Diwali and a prosperous new year. May the Goddess bless us all with happy new beginnings.
