ECLECTIC CURATOR |
One of Germany's most renowned artists today, Wolfgang Laib's works are eclectic materials employed by him. Mostly perishable these materials include beeswax, rice, and milk. In this dual gallery show in Mumbai this month, audiences are treated to some of Laib's most impressive pieces. The conceptual artist's work, which he claims is doused in a cement dessert, has many key pieces that will spellbound art aficionados. Don't miss his patch of vibrant yellow flower pollen and his seminal Milkstone. Other noteworthy pieces by the artist include The Rice House, made with rice and white marble, and Pollen from Hazelnut which involves tapping out pollen collected by the artist onto the floor. The show is on until January 13, 2013; Monday to Saturday at Chemould Prescott Road Gallery, Mumbai. Visit: www. gallerychemould.com |
